How It Works

Take part in a study near you.

If a study is a fit, taking part is simpler than most people expect. You ask, we explain what is open, and you decide. You stay in control the whole way.

Step by step

How taking part works.

A short, clear path from your first question to your last visit. Nothing is decided until you decide it.

  • 01

    Reach out

Tell us a little about yourself. We explain what is open at our Mesa site and whether a study may fit. This first step is just information.

  • 02

    Talk with a coordinator

A research coordinator answers your questions and walks through what a study would involve, with no pressure to join.

  • 03

    Screening visit

If a study looks like a fit, you come in for a screening visit. The physician checks the study's eligibility criteria, and the study-related exam and lab work are done at no cost to you.

  • 04

    Study visits

If you qualify and choose to join, you attend scheduled visits with the team, who look after you throughout. You can ask anything, and stop at any time.

  • 05

    Wrap up

At the end, the team explains what happens next and how to stay in touch about future studies, if you want to.

Why take part

What taking part can offer.

Close medical attention

A physician and research team follow you closely through the study, with regular check-ins built into every visit.

A study-related check at no cost

Screening includes a study-related exam and lab work at no cost to you, whether or not you go on to join.

Reimbursement where offered

Some studies reimburse time and travel. The team explains exactly what a study covers before you decide.

Your own care continues

A study runs alongside your regular care, not in place of it. With your permission, the team keeps your own doctor informed.

A chance to help

Taking part can contribute to research that may help others with the same condition, including your own family.

A familiar, local clinic

Visits happen at a clinic in Mesa, close to home, with a team you can get to know.

Why it matters

Be part of how medicine moves forward.

The treatments your doctor relies on today exist because people before you took part in research. Taking part in a study is a way to help the next person facing the same condition, including someone in your own family.

Join a Study

Your choice, always

You stay in control.

Taking part is voluntary from the first question to the last visit. These are not favors. They are how every study here runs.

It is your choice

Asking about a study commits you to nothing. You decide whether to join, and only after the study is explained in full.

Withdraw at any time

You can leave a study at any point, for any reason, and the team explains what that means for your care.

Clear, honest consent

Before anything begins, consent explains the study in plain language, what to expect at each visit, and any possible side effects. You can take it home first.

No referral or insurance needed

You do not need a referral or insurance to ask or to take part. Eligibility is based on each study's own criteria.

Your privacy is protected

Information collected during a study is handled under strict rules, and you are told how it is used before you agree to anything.
